IELTS Online Test - Updates

IELTS Online Structure: the timing, content and structure is the same as the IELTS Academic tests taken in centres. The only difference is that you can take it from almost anywhere.

“IELTS Online is currently available in the following countries and regions:

Albania, Argentina, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, Ethiopia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Laos, Macao, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mexico, Mongolia, Morocco, Myanmar, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, Uganda, Ukraine, Uruguay, Venezuela, Zambia and Zimbabwe.”

IELTS Online is only suitable for academic purposes. If you require IELTS for immigration, you will have to take the test at a designated centre!


IELTS Online Registration: You can register for IELTS using the following website. Please note, it is recommended that you book your time slot at least 48 hours before. (The exam is 252 EUR.)
Please note, IELTS Online is only available for students 18 years old and older.

IELTS Online Results: “Test takers receive your results 3-6 days after taking IELTS Online.”

Requirements for taking the test:
“For your test environment, you will need:
  • a desk in a quiet, private, well-lit space
  • your ID (Passport)
  • a reliable internet connection
  • a computer or laptop.

Your computer or laptop must have:
  • windows or macOS
  • a webcam, microphone, and speakers
  • one screen only.
